Easy Coffee Filter Wreath

Easy but beautiful Coffee Filter Wreath Tutorial { lilluna.com } Takes time, but requires little supplies & turns out so cute!!

I hope you guys know this by now, but I love EASY…. easy recipes, easy crafts, easy gifts – you name it!

This next craft I’m sharing with you today takes a little time but is easy peasy! It’s a Coffee Filter Wreath that was whipped out in about half an hour. I had bought several vintage windows at a shop in Alvin, TX and hung them up above my entertainment center. I loved the look it gave but knew it needed something else, so I decided to make a wreath to go up in the middle window. I knew Coffee Filters were inexpensive and knew I could make a super cute (and EASY) wreath using them that would be perfect.

Here is the final result…

Now, this isn’t pictured above the entertainment center because I couldn’t get a good pic of it being so high, but you get the idea. It’s simple, plain but beautiful. I LOVE it. Best of all, I gathered all the supplies, turned on a show on Netflix and finished this baby in no time.

Here is how you can make it too…

SUPPLIES:

– Foam Wreath (whatever size you want to make it)

– Coffee Filters

– Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks

– Pen/Sharpie

– Fishing Wire (for hanging)

5. I hung mine using some fishing wire so you didn’t see it. I just tied a knot around the wreath and hung it onto a nail I put at the top of my window.

It’s so basic and simple and makes for some easy and cute decor in the home. As mentioned, it does take some time adding the filters to the wreath but it goes by pretty quick if you pop in a show and craft while you watch.

  1. Little Miss Momma (Ashley Stock) had a tutorial of this on her site too, and I made one of my own back in May of this year. I have to agree with you, it was super easy, yet looks amazing! Here is the link to the one I made: http://followgram.me/i/463642569990997796_55451024

One of my friends made the same thing, but with unbleached coffee filters, and it looks great too!

    1. Yours turned out fab!!! I had made this wreath for a Halloween wreath I was making (you’ll see the tutorial in the coming weeks) but realized just how pretty it was without the Halloween stuff, so have been using it just plain for now. It truly is so easy and looks so pretty. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Beautiful!! Who knew that cheap coffee filters would make such a stunning and beautiful wreath!! I love, love, love it!! It looks so beautiful with the window frame. Great job!! Thanks for the tutorial!! Pinned it.

    1. Thanks, Crystal!! I totally agree that it looks so pretty and surprised that something as simple as coffee filters can make it look so good. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. So beautiful! Considering making one for our house and had a few questions. Do you know what size wreath you used? Did you have to cut the filters in the center down or was your foam wreath the perfect size? Also, approximately how far apart did you place your coffee filters? Thanks for such a great idea!

  4. Thanks for the fabulous inspiration! I used your tutorial to create a coffee filter wreath themed for Fall. The pictures are on my blog if you’d like to see!

    1. Hi Julianne – I checked out your wreath… it turned out fabulous!! The coffee filter wreaths always look so pretty and can be added to for any holiday or season. Yours is perfect for fall. Great job!

    1. I mentioned in the post that it is super easy but took some time to do (it’s just a matter of gluing a lot). I ended up using about 1.5 packs of coffee filters.

  5. When you say trim some of the coffee fliters to make them all even, which ones are you referring too? the ones that go in the inner part of the wreath?

    1. I had coffee filters all over the wreath that seemed to “stick out” more so I just trimmed all over the wreath and definitely a few in the inner part. ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. I decided to make this over the long weekend and wanted something not just white. So I took some pink acrylic paint and added water to think it down and then rolled bunches of the ends of the filters in the paint an let it soak it up. This turned out way beyond great! Only the ends were pink and tis would be good for spring, summer, Valentines, and really throughout the year. Thanks for giving me some inspiration to do this!

      1. I will get a picture of it as soon as I can find my camera. I am going to make one for the 4th of july with blue and red paint as well. Thought I could just leave a few white ones in there to make it look like stars and stripes. That one might take a little more thought. LOL! I will post as soon as I can. Thanks for this great idea!

  7. About how many coffee filters did it take? Trying to figure out how many I would need to buy. My open package in the craft supplies definitely won’t be enough! lol

  8. I made a coffee filter wreath & I love it, but I made it as little to full. I used 4 1/2 packs of filters and it is round like a big powdered doughnut. My question is how do I hang it. It is so full I just can’t figure a way to hang it & make I t look pretty. I will gladly send you a picture if that would help.

  9. I just finished my wreath.I was just about to give up until I saw your post.Your directions were so much better and easier than the one I started with.It is not perfect because of the difference in directions, but I love it and am ready to do another one now that I know how the correct way.Thank you so very much!!!

  10. Goodmorning,
I love your coffee filter wreath. I’d like do this but I don’t understand what is ‘coffe filter’ … maybe in Italy we use another kind of filter… where can I buy in Italy, in which kindo f shops you can buy them?
    thanks, kisses

    Raffa

    1. Thanks so much for stopping by!!! I’m not sure where you could by them in Italy? It’s the filters that go in the coffee maker, I believe. Haha..I don’t drink coffee, so I’m not familiar with how to make coffee! I hope you can find some!! Good luck!

  11. This is so adorable and looks so easy. Im heading home from work, going shopping and Im going to try this tonight
