I know I’ve shared a few Pumpkin recipes and my favorite Halloween Fonts, but today is my first Halloween project, and I’m SOOO excited to share it with you!!
This next project is what I shared on Eighteen25 this year as part of their Spooktacular September. The year before I also shared a Halloween Wreath on their site, and as I thought about what to do this year I decided to do another wreath. The reason? I’m slightly obsessed with holiday wreaths and think they are so fun and simple to put together. There is also one that I’ve been dying to make since I spotted it in Woman’s Day several years ago. It was a Candy Corn (another holiday item I’m slightly obsessed with) wreath that I wanted to embellish to make my own.
I love how FESTIVE it is!! And despite having to glue candy corn for an hour, it was a very simple project to complete. I’m so happy with how it turned out and can’t wait to display it in my home this Halloween season.
Here is what you’ll need to make it this Candy Corn Wreath…
SUPPLIES:
– Foam wreath
– Candy Corn
– Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
– Fabric/Ribbon
– Frame
– Printables (available for download below)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Begin by prepping your fabric. I used black fabric that I cut about 1.5″ thick and tore because I wanted the ends to be frayed. I used about 4 strips of this to cover the wreath and used a few more for the bow on top.
2. From there I wrapped the ribbon around the wreath, hot gluing where I needed to to make sure it stayed on.
3. Then I hot glued the candy corn on. Each side (the front, underside and insides) of the wreath had 4 rows of candy corns. I used 4 small bags from the store (generic store brand, although I prefer Brach’s). This takes some time but is very easy to do. Make sure each row is going the opposite direction than the row of candy corns it’s next to.
4. From there I made a bow out of the frayed fabric (you can use ribbon) and also tied some ribbon around the wreath to hold it up. I also attached some ribbon to the back of the frame that would be on top of the wreath, measuring to make sure the frame laid where I wanted it to be.
5. Then, I printed out the printable and put it in my frame and put everything together.
TO DOWNLOAD YOUR PRINT:
Click on the image you want above and then RIGHT-CLICK and SAVE. Then open it up in a program like WORD, RE-SIZE it to what you want and then SAVE. Print and cut out. Put in your frame.
Hang your wreath and frame together. Add any extra ribbon or embellishments.
Voila!!
A simple but beautiful and festive Halloween Wreath!!
I know most wreaths are displayed outdoors on the door, but I’ll be displaying this one inside. It will be perfect on one of my vintage windows have up for decor. If you are concerned that bugs will attack if it’s outside – it may just happen. I know it would here in Texas, at least!! I suggest that you also display it inside (perhaps on the inside part of the front door??) Wherever you put it, I promise it will bring a little smile to your face every time you see it. π
It just SCREAMS Halloween! π
I love it! And I love that the frayed fabric added some extra string around it just to add a little more personality! π

Oh I am so loving this! Bravo.
Thank you so much, Beth!!
This wreath is so adorable! I would need an extra bag to do this project because I would eat too many π
LOL! We may have consumed a few as we glued them on. π
Kristyn your wreath is awesome!!! I love the printable that can be changed around in the frame, pinning!!
xo, Tanya
Thank you, Tanya! You’re so sweet!! π
So love the wreath!! It would be hard for my daughter and I not to eat the candy corn instead of putting it on the wreath. I love all your Halloween ideas!!
Thank you, Crystal! I admit I ate quite a few candy corns, and so did my 3 little ones who were playing while I crafted. π
Such a bright and fun wreath! Pinned!
Thanks, Amy!!
Love all the projects but your wreath is amazing thank you!
What size frame did you use for this? would a 5X7 be too big?
Mine was 5×7. π
I love it, and do you think it would last from year to year if it were packed away really well?
Mine still looks exactly the same from last year because I did pack it nicely, so I’m sure yours will too. π
Iβve made this before and the candy began to melt and drip ???? messy!
Oh, no..sorry it did! They have glue guns/sticks for cool temp, maybe those would work better π
