Always be a little kinder than necessary

It’s one of my favorites and comes from J.M. Barie, the author of Peter Pan.

I’ve thought a lot about this quote and have realized that I’m not very good at being kind to everyone. I’d say that, in general, I try to be kind, but there are times when I’m not – like when I’m driving or dealing with congested stores. I’m easily irritated and annoyed and have decided that it needs to change.

I want to better.

I want to be more kind.

I want to be more understanding.

Heaven knows that I’ve had “those days” before when dealing with stress, family issues or grief and I’ve wanted people to be a little more “kind” to myself, so this is my new goal. I’m going to be a little kinder than necessary and to simply be nice, and thoughtful and generous to EVERYONE. I know this will take more work than just saying I’m going to do it. It’s going to require a ton of patience, prayers and understanding. It’s going to require me changing who I naturally am (impatient, critical, etc.) but I’m up for the challenge!!
