I am needing some MAJOR organization in my life right now.
That is why I recently made a Dry-Erase Glass Calendar.
Steph from Somewhat Simple, who is my good friend, made this and I loved it {find her tutorial here}. I knew I wanted to make one for my family in the future but was waiting for the perfect opportunity… fast forward a bit, and I recently got this adorable 20×30 frame from Cut It Out {super cute and inexpensive frames – check ’em out!}. I knew for sure that I wanted to make the calendar with it. I finally made some time to do it, and here it is:
If you would like to make one too, here is what you’ll need:
SUPPLIES:
-Glass Frame
-Windex
-Vinyl
-Hot Glue
DIRECTIONS:
1. Begin by designing your vinyl, and when cutting be sure to cut the INVERSE or MIRROR version of it. You want to do this because you’ll be putting the vinyl onto the back of the glass so when you write, it doesn’t hit the vinyl and can be easily cleaned. Cut, Peel and add Adhesive to your vinyl. Set aside.
2. Clean your glass really well with Windex and let dry. Add the vinyl to your glass.
3. Paint and sand your frame if needed. I spray painted, sanded and then added a layer of Spray Polyurethane.
4. You will then add hot glue to each corner of your frame as well as in spots along the edge of your frame {I sometimes use Super Glue just to make sure the glass won’t go anywhere}. Add your glass.
It’s that easy, and it looks that awesome!!
Each Monday night after Family Night we calendar for that week, and I cannot wait to use my new Dry-Erase Family Calendar!!
And just in case you don’t want to make this but still want to get organized here are some fun places you can find some Adorable Free Calendars to Download.

Wow! I love this! I want one!
Such a wonderful idea ๐
Thanks, but I can’t take credit – wasn’t my idea – haha!! Just made my own version of it, and I already have used it and LOVE it. ๐
This looks wonderful! I have everything but the frame, will have to get the hubby to make one for me this weekend!
Yes!! And send pics when you’re done. Would love to see it. Have a great weekend. ๐
Kristyn, I click on the “Buttons” and I get this page. Is this correct?
I’ve searched every page, this is the page I end up on while look for the button to put on my blog.
Love the calendars!
I LOVE THIS! Where did you get your vinyl. I would rather not spend a bunch of time drawing lines and worry about perfection (a serious personal flaw of mine). If you could please let me know that would be great. I already ordered my frame from cut it out. thanks for the tutorial and reference to the other tutorial. I love the idea and my office needs it BAD. THANKS
Where did you get the vinyl made for this one? I have found other vinyl layouts but not as cute as this one.
Thanks!
Wow! This board is pretty much amazing!! You could go into business making these! Great, great idea.
You’re so sweet, Jamie! Thank you! So glad you like it… it definitely helps keep our family organized. ๐
How do you get the actual calendar on the vinyl?
I designed it on my vinyl program. I’m pretty sure Silhouette has one already designed in their online store. ๐
