I know many of you have already started summer, but we don’t start til Friday. Not til 12:30 PM CST on Friday, to be exactly. The kids have been reminding me each and every day to make sure I’m prepared for them to be home all day. Although having them here makes thinks more crazy, I’m SO excited to have them out for summer break. I love having the kids around and am excited for some summer fun!!
I try to make sure we do some fun things through out the summer, and many of those activities are things we can do here at the house. Usually they aren’t anything too crazy or extravagant, but something small and fun. Even though we try to do these fun things, I do believe that kids can play with each other and entertain themselves. Fortunately, my kids get along pretty well for the most part and they’ll make up plays or find something creative to do in the backyard or in the playroom. š
In case you are looking for some more fun things to do, we have an awesome Summer Fun Checklist for you.
We have also rounded up some of our favorite ideas from the internet, so be sure to check them out. Many of these activities can be done with items you already have around the house. Check them out…

Aw, these are so cute! Projects like this are so fun to take on with little ones. These are all great ways to foster their appreciation for art, and they give you an opportunity to work towards a goal together! Very cool! Thanks for sharing these ideas!
Thank you! I love art and so do my kids, so it’s fun to find those activities you can do together!! Enjoy!!
These are extremely fun activities. I like the paper plate tambourine as I like easy to complete crafts (#lazymom). I also like outdoor activities for the same reason. Playing outside is free most of the time and offers a lot of great educational opportunities.
I’m right there with ya!! Have fun and thanks for stopping by!
