Valentine’s is next week!!
Are you ready?!
I’m not. :/ I already have little gifts picked out and put aside for the kiddos (a tradition my mom started when I was young). The only problem is I haven’t done anything for the hubby. I may or may not have blogged about this already, but Lorin and I rarely exchange gifts. We made a pact years ago that we would not get each other presents and instead plan a really nice date or get away with just the 2 of us. I have LOVED this little deal of ours because it takes off a ton of pressure on those special days like Valentine’s and Anniversary. Having said that, I still usually get him a little something that is small and creative just to show that I was thinking of him that day. I have shared in the past few years some super cute and simple Valentine’s Gift Ideas for Him. They usually involve candy and a cute little saying and that’s what I’ll be doing this year. I have one more gift idea I’m sharing on Friday and this is what I’ll be giving Lorin along with a little card. 😉 Fortunately, he usually plans the date for us (with a little nudging on my part) which we usually go on the week AFTER Valentine’s (to avoid the crowds).
