I LOVE Valentine’s Day! The kids do as well, and every day they ask me how many days until February 14th. 😉 I think the excitement for this particular holiday all started with my mom. She always made the day special and bought us a small present. She also made a special dinner for the night of and usually had tons of cute and festive decor and paper goods to go with the meal. I have decided to do the same thing with my own family and am looking forward to this tradition. Back in Arizona, my family still gathers to celebrate the dinner with a nice meal, but we’ll be doing the same thing with our own little family in Texas. We usually have steak and delicious side dishes and desserts, so I’m already going through my recipes to decide what will be made.

Along with a yummy and festive dinner, we always spend the few days leading up to the 14th making Handmade Valentine’s. The kids still haven’t decided FOR SURE which ones they are doing but they are leaning towards some of the ones I’ve shared on the blog recently. I know some people like to give Valentines with treats, so I have some of my favorites ideas in Blog Land listed below, but I also have LOADS of Non-Treat Valentine’s. NO matter what you decide to do for Valentine’s, I highly encourage that you make it a special day for the kids. It’s something they will remember for  very long time. 😉
